CALIPSO employs a well-structured training programme composed of four skill-training courses (ST) covering hands-on experience in relevant experimental technologies and complementary skills to train young researchers in newest and emerging technologies in different ways. Local training is combined with network-wide training activities.
The courses cover Industry-Relevant Skills in ST1, Bioinformatics and Statistics in ST2, Plant Transformation, BioImaging and Live Cell Ca2+ Imaging in ST3, and Mass-Spectrometry/PhosphoProteomics or Metabolomics in ST4. This is complemented with different soft-skills training at the different network meetings (M).
At the end of their initial training in CALIPSO the young researchers have organized a symposium (IS) as international conference supported with additional funding from FEBS with invited speakers from outside the network.
